There are 3 Levels of Registration on the WSCA website.  Each has it's own purpose, and simple process.  As an overview, we will briefly explain each and its particular features:
  • Scholastic Player Registration, this one-time per year requirement gives us all the necessary information to register the scholastic player for all the WSCA tournaments he/she wants to participate in during that school year.
  • Tournament Registration, a simple form with only four boxes to fill in: Username, Password, Current USCF Rating, and a pull down menu for which Section you plan to play in at that particular tournament.
  • Registration for the Login feature, gives access to a User menu with features like Blogs, Submit an Article, etc.

How to Register for Tournaments

STEP 1.) Scholastic Player Registration:
  • Find the Four Button Bar at the top of the Home Page, Click on the first one, "Tournaments".

  • A screen with the list of the scheduled WSCA Tournaments will come up.

  • Second from the end is the Register column, go down to the Red text link that says "Register" and Click on it.

  • The Tournament Registration Box will come up with a note that says, "Note: You MUST register at the Scholastic Player Registration Screen before you can register for a tournament. To register on this screen click here."

  • Click on the Red text link.  This takes you to the Scholastic Player Registration Screen.  You must fill out all the fields just once.

  • When you have finished filling out the Fields, Click the "Register" button at the bottom, and you are done.

  • An email will be sent to the email address you typed in with an "Activation Link" (this is a security feature).  Go to your email box, find the email, open it, and "click" on the link to finish the registration process.  This will take you directly back to the "Tournaments" screen.

  • This needs to be done only once at the start of each school year (or if you change schools).
